Institution: The Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) is one of our newest partners and a new medical school for Nepal. Students will be able to undertake a clinical placement at the Patan Hospital - just outside Kathmandu. There is a strong community medicine focus to the teaching at PAHS and the curriculum is problem-based.

Other: During 2011, the Sydney Medical School hosted two faculty members Dr Ram Krishna Dulal and Dr SujanVaidya from PAHS and our students were able to meet them and also get to know two PAHS students Anjit and Neeti. University of Sydney students have also raised funds and donated textbooks to PAHS in 2011.

A tuition fee will be required to support the costs at PAHS. Travel, accommodation and living expenses and arrangements will be the students' responsibility.
