Research placements within the Office for Global Health Partnerships
Several of our international partners offer research placements which are open to all students. It may be possible (but not essential) to undertake some of these placements as part of an Honours program but this will require advanced planning and agreement with your supervisor. Medical students applying to the Honours program within the MBBS degree should make sure they consult the course information about Honours on the Sydney Medical Program website as a first step.
Applications for research placements will be called for via a bulletin in early 2012 and students should apply using the same process as clinical placements within the OGH program. Applications for the Dean’s Scholarship fund can also be made at the same time.
As with other placements, students will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation and living expenses and arrangements but usually tuition fees are not required.
