The Graduate Studies Office (GSO) indirectly supports postgraduate students by working closely with faculties and other units of the university to enhance postgraduate study programs. For more information on the responsibilities of the GSO please see the Role of the GSO

Although we support students indirectly, the GSO website does offer a range of useful information specific to postgraduate study.

You will find:

STUDENT GUIDE 2010

The Student Guide is an online resource containing a broad range of information and services to support you while you are studying at the University of Sydney. You will find information on enrolment, finances, student services and support, student organisations, as well as maps, useful contact details, checklists for getting through the beginning of semester and details of where to seek advice should you require extra assistance throughout your study.

GRADUATE STUDIES HANDBOOK 2011

The purpose of this handbook is to provide a convenient source of reference for both research and coursework postgraduate students about the requirements for postgraduate degrees, graduate diplomas and graduate certificates within the University. You will find details of the University organisation and administration, useful contact details, information on coursework and research programs and intellectual property, authorship and copyright as well as other topics.

It also highlights formal documents which you need to be familiar with, including the
University’s Code of Practice for Coursework Teaching and Learning.
