Advanced Engineering Program

Engineering students are eligible for the award of Advanced Engineering by completing a minimum of 18 credit points of advanced units as listed in the following table. Only one Advanced unit can be selected from a particular year. Entry to this program is competitive and is on the basis or ATAR or equivalent, or by obtaining a Distinction average in Years 1, 2 and 3 of the engineering course.
Replace Integrated Engineering unit ENGG1111 with:

Advanced Engineering 1
6    A Good performance in HSC Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
P ATAR equivalent score of at least 98 and faculty permission

Enrolment by Dean's invitation for high achieving HSC students (ATAR equivalent score of 98 or higher).

Note 1: A WAM of > 75% is required as well as an Invitation from the Dean to participate in the Advanced Engineering Program. Note 2: There is a cap on the number of students allowed to do this subject in any one semester- depending on resources available.
