Biographical details
Sarah is an occupational therapist with research interests in early intervention, children with developmental disabilities, play-based intervention and evidence-based intervention development. Sarah is a Postgraduate Fellow who teaches within the discipline of occupational therapy. She is also a PhD Candidate who is developing and evaluating a play-based intervention aimed at improving the social play skills of children with ADHD. Sarah’s research interests also include multidisciplinary collaboration. She is currently collaborating with colleagues from the University of Sydney and James Cook University to examine the pragmatic language of children with ADHD in the context of play with peers.
Teaching and supervision
Through her research, Sarah has been a joint clinical placement supervisor for undergraduate speech pathology students and is also the primary supervisor for an undergraduate occupational therapy honours student.
