Biographical details

Catherine is a Postdoctoral Researcher within Associate Professor Kirrie Ballard's lab.
She was awarded a PhD in Neurophysiology from Imperial College, London in 2002. She then came to Australia as a postdoctoral researcher at the Victor Chang Research institute, going on to lead research projects as an ARC Postdoctoral Fellow. Catherine was awarded the Young Australian Biophysicist of the Year award in 2006, before giving in to her urge to work with the brain in a whole person rather than in a petri dish and retraining as a Speech Pathologist.

Catherine obtained a Master of Speech Language Pathology (Hons) degree in 2011 from the University of Sydney and returned in 2014 to re-ignite her research passion.
