Biographical details

Dr Clare Coleman is the inaugural Senior Research Fellow at the Sydney Centre for ATSI Statistics. She has a PhD in Pure Mathematics and for over seven years she was the Senior Project Coordinator for the Australian Rural Mental Health Study. Clare began her career as a high school mathematics and physics teacher, she returned to University to undertake her PhD. She has since lectured and tutored extensively in mathematics and statistics. She has worked as a consultant in database construction and management. Clare has worked with Aboriginal communities to adapt the Australian Rural Mental Health Study to a culturally appropriate instrument with safeguards in place to ensure that participants and data collectors were not harmed in the conduct of the research.
