Biographical details

Dr Bogaardt is a Speech Pathologist and Clinical Epidemiologist, who is specialized in assessment and treatment of dysphagia.

Dr Bogaardt completed his undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology at the Leidse Hogeschool in Leiden, the Netherlands in 1995. After graduation Hans worked for several years in Germany and the Netherlands in different acute hospitals and rehabiliation centers. In 2004 Dr Bogaardt obtained his masters degree in Evidence Based Practise / Clinicial Epidemiology at the University of Amsterdam. In the following years Hans worked as a clinician and researcher at the Department of Otolaryngology of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. In 2009 he finished his PhD with a thesis titled 'Current Aspects of Assessment and Treatment of Dysphagia'.

Dr Bogaardt is involved in various scientific projects in this field and is a regular presenter at national and international meetings.

  • Epidemiology and Biostatistics
  • Post-laryngectomy rehabilitation

Dr Bogaardt is a member of the Communication Sciences and Disorders team.
