Biographical details

Dr Milena Simic completed her physiotherapy and honours degrees at La Trobe University in Melbourne. Her honours research evaluated risk taking behaviour and injury rates amongst adolescent football players. At the University of Melbourne, she undertook a PhD degree focusing on conservative biomechanical interventions for people with knee osteoarthritis. Primarily, her research involved gait modification strategies with use of real-time biofeedback for load reduction in the knee, which may hold the potential to slow progression of disease.
