Dr. Simone Hausknecht is a Postdoctoral Research Associate on the Reframing ageing in Health Project. She has a PhD in Educational Technology and Learning Design with a focus on older adult cohorts.

Research interests

Reframing Ageing

Ageing, health, social connectedness, and well-being

Lifelong learning with a focus on older adults as learners and the role of intergenerational learning in society

Educational technology and learning design

Technology for lifelong learning, social-connectedness, and well-being including research on digital games and digital storytelling

Current projects

Reframing Ageing in Health

This project examines the way that media, institutions, society, and individuals frame ageing. The research aims to create a program to reframe ageist views into those that will contribute to healthy communities for all.
