Working in partnership
The Centre for Disability Research and Policy will maintain strong collaborations with a number of other units within the University of Sydney including Sydney Medical School, Sydney Law School, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Menzies Centre for Health Policy Research and the Centre for Disability Studies. We will also partner with other academic centres both locally and internationally including the Queensland Centre for Intellectual and Developmental Disability (University of Queensland), Centre for Developmental Disability Health (Monash University), Centre for Disability Research (Lancaster University, UK), the Department of Disability and Human Development (University of Illinois at Chicago, USA), National Centre for Parents with Disabilities (Berkeley, California), the Centre for Disability Studies (Leeds University, UK) and Norah Fry Research Centre (University of Bristol, UK).
CDRP is also involved with the CRN for Mental Health: http://www.une.edu.au/crn-mentalhealth/
In addition, our work will be informed and strengthened by our close collaboration with Disabled Peoples’ Organisations, service providers, NGOs, governments, our local and international research colleagues and international agencies.
