During 2017, the Productivity Commission has been reviewing the costs of the National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS costs report.

CDRP provided three submissions to the Commission in response to their February 2017 issues paper:

Richard Madden responded to the June Position paper in July with the submission PP 307

Two issues focused on in the responses were

  • people with ‘an acute and immediate need’ or ‘very challenging behaviours’
  • creating the right incentives in a federal system (arguing that NDIS cost risks should be shared between the Commonwealth and the States and Territories).
