The University of Sydney
Health Care Team Challenge Competition 2014

Closing date for registration has been extended to Tuesday 1 July

Healthcare Team Challenge Winners 2013

Now in its 4th year, The University of Sydney Health Care Team Challenge brings together students from the Faculties of Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Sydney Medical School and Sydney Nursing School. Inter-professional student teams compete against each other to promote and demonstrate excellence in health care management.

Teams submit a video demonstrating their team’s interprofessional approach in developing a healthcare plan for a case. Videos are reviewed by an expert panel. This year, the winning team will receive $1200 prize money and an opportunity to have their winning video presentation show cased across the University of Sydney.

The Health Care Team Challenge is a great opportunity for students to meet students from other courses and faculties; gain inter-professional experience; develop teamwork skills; and expand professional knowledge. Skills gained are invaluable when applying for jobs in the future.

What is involved?

Students will be assigned to inter-professional teams (5-6 members per team). Students will meet their team members at a face to face event in Friday 1 August Week 1, Semester 2. Over the following weeks, team members will work together on their video submission and 1 page case management plan. Submissions are due Friday 5 September Week 6, Semester 2. The winning team and place getters will be announced soon after this.
