Health Care Team Challenge 2013

This year the Faculty of Health Sciences will host the University of Sydney Health Care Team Challenge (HCTC) in conjunction with The Faculty of Pharmacy, Sydney Medical School and Sydney Nursing School. HCTC is a cross Faculty interprofessional event designed to promote and recognise excellence in health care management. Students collaborate in multidisciplinary teams of 4-6 to develop an evidence-based health care plan for a case with input from academic mentors.
Each team will have 1 student from the following disciplines and no more than 6 per team: Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Orthoptics. Students selected by their Faculty to participate will be randomly allocated to a team.
Some of the benefits of participating include the opportunity to:
- meet students from other courses and faculties
- gain interprofessional experience
- apply what you are learning
- work on your team work skills
- expand your professional knowledge
