Helga Pettitt Postgraduate Study Award

Awarded and administered by the Health Sciences Alumni Association, this award provides financial assistance to a new or continuing student enrolled in any course of postgraduate study.

Selection Criteria: Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Health Sciences, and not have been a previous recipient of the grant.

The grant is up to a total of $1,500.

Applicants must provide details on how they intend to use the funds in their research project.

Mary Frances Stephens Scholarship

The Mary Frances Stephens Scholarship was established in 2010 to support postgraduate research in the discipline of Occupational Therapy with a preference for projects with an inter-disciplinary involvement. The scholarship is open to students who have successfully completed the full-time equivalent of at least one year of higher degree research in the discipline of Occupational Therapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The Scholarship provides a stipend of $12,000 per annum for 3 years less any period of enrolment towards the degree at the time the offer is made. Recipients must enrol full-time during the tenure of the scholarship.

Selection is based on academic merit and the applicant’s performance during their first year of candidature.

Deirdre Russell Memorial Scholarship

The Deirdre Russell Memorial Scholarship was established in 2006 to support postgraduate research students in the discipline of Speech Pathology. The scholarship is open to students who have successfully completed the full-time equivalent of at least one year of higher degree research in the discipline of Speech Pathology at the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The Scholarship provides a stipend of $13,000 per annum for 3 years less any period of enrolment towards the degree at the time the offer is made. Recipients must enrol full-time during the tenure of the scholarship.

Selection is based on academic merit and the applicant’s performance during their first year of candidature.
