CPR

Students must provide proof they hold an Australian current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate prior to attending their placement and that it is valid for the duration of the placement. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their certificate remains current whilst they are a student at the Faculty of Health Sciences.

CPR courses are provided by recognised Australian training organisations and the certificate received upon successful completion of the course is valid for 12 months.

The courses are provided by both Cumberland Student Guild and Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness and by many other organisations.

From 1st January 2016, organizations such as Surf Life Saving NSW can be prevented from issuing participants with a Nationally Recognised VET Qualification or Statement of Attainment when they complete the course if they do not have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). The USI is not your SID
