Most students at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) are enrolled in courses that require the undertaking of placements with external organisations.
This allows students to experience real life clients/patients and workplaces, as well as providing opportunities to develop their skills, knowledge, attitudes and professionalism in a particular setting.
Supervisors from sites in the public and private health sector, education and other private and non-government organisations make an invaluable contribution to the development of these future professionals.
The supervision of students also allows external supervisors to keep abreast of the latest teaching within their field as well as experiencing the personal reward of involvement in the development of the future professionals in their field.
Education and Workshops for External Supervisors
