Information for International Students
Vaccinations for International students
No vaccinations are required to enter Australia unless you come from a country or zone with Yellow Fever within six days before you arrived.
If you do you will require proof of vaccination for Yellow Fever, or you may be held in Quarantine.
Information on vaccines can be found on the Overseas travel page.
Falling ill on arrival
Seek medical attention immediately if you feel unwell on arrival in Australia. Contact the University Health Service for an appointment.
Completing your studies
If you are going to be a health care student or animal care student you need to be aware of the mandatory health screening and vaccinations.
Direct billing arrangements are available for International Students covered by Worldcare Overseas Student Health Cover.
If you have health cover from another overseas student health care provider or insurer you will be required to pay at the time of consultation and be reimbursed by your insurer.
Bring your current valid Worldcare OSHC Card and photo ID with you to your appointment.
The University Health Service charges non-Worldcare OSHC consultations, some vaccines and equipment. Payment is required at the time the service is provided.
If you have to pay fees or charges the UHS accepts payments by cash, credit cards and EFTPOS.
