Domestic students and Australian residents

The University Health Service direct bills Medicare for the cost of most consultations for Australian citizens and residents covered by a Medicare card.

Bring your current valid Medicare card or number and photo ID with you to your appointment.

International students

Direct billing arrangements are available for International Students covered by Allianz Overseas Student Health Cover.

If you have health cover from another overseas student health care provider or insurer you will be required to pay at the time of consultation and be reimbursed by your insurer.

Bring your current valid Allianz OSHC Card and photo ID with you to your appointment.


The University Health Service charges non-Allianz OSHC consultations, some vaccines and equipment. Payment is required at the time the service is provided.

Failure to attend a booked appointment could incur a non-attendance fee being charged. Please see our Attendance and Cancellation polices.

Charges apply for suppling replacement / duplicate certificates, medical records (full or partial) and completion of other medical documents.

If you have to pay fees or charges the UHS accepts payments by cash, credit cards and EFTPOS.
