Emergency contacts
Cumberland Campus Security staff are located in the gatehouse at Gate 2 (see photo).
Officers patrol the campus and are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deal with inquiries and provide assistance and support. Security staff are also trained as first-aid officers. Car parks are monitored by security staff via closed circuit TV cameras.

In an emergency or accident
Keep calm and tell a member of staff about the incident immediately.
Call Security (dial 1 3333 from an internal phone; 9351 3333 from your mobile or outside the campus). State the nature of the incident (e.g. accident, fire), its location, your name and the number you're calling from.
Emergency help phones
Emergency phones, located around the campus, are flat-surfaced phones with press button action. The red emergency button will directly dial Security. You need to give the number of the phone to enable Security to locate you. The bottom section of the phone can be used for internal calls only. Instructions are on the phone.

If a person is seriously injured or ill and you cannot contact a staff member:
- call 0-000 from an internal phone and ask for an ambulance. Tell the ambulance to go to the campus gate closest to the emergency (Gate 1 or Gate 2)
- then call the closest First Aid Officer - see First Aid location and phone numbers.
