EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
Evacuation plans are provided on every floor of every building on the campus.
Staff noticeboards in every building provide the names and contact numbers of Emergency Wardens and First Aid Officers.
In An Emergency or Accident
- Medical emergency, dial 0-000 (or 000 if calling from an external line or mobile phone) and ask for an ambulance.
- Provide instructions as to which gate to enter University grounds and the nature of the emergency.
- Notify Security - Dial 19230 from an internal phone; 9351 9230 from your mobile or outside the campus).
- A member of staff or another person should go to that gate to direct the ambulance when it arrives.
Emergency Help Phones and Map
Emergency phones, located around the campus, are flat-surfaced phones with press button action. The red emergency button will directly dial Security. You need to give the number of the phone to enable Security to locate you. The bottom section of the phone can be used for internal calls only. Instructions are on the phone.
