Student Pods' a Winner

The University's new Learning Hub in the PNR building has won the award for 'Best Application of AV in Education' at this year's prestigious Audio Visual Industry Awards. The coveted award recognises exemplary AV innovation in an educational environment.
The Hub is a collaborative learning and teaching space incorporating state-of-the-art pod technology. It enables screen sharing so that students can project their coursework materials to the whole class for discussion.
Developed as part of the Learning Networks Project the Hub is a collaboration between Campus Infrastructure & Services, Sydney eLearning, ICT and the University Library.

Touch screens rolled-out

State of the art Dell multi-touch screens have been rolled out in scores of teaching venues across campus. Featuring an innovative 21.5" monitor with a wide viewing angle, they're designed for ultimate interaction.
Interactive technology enables the user to access applications by touching a screen creating an interactive and responsive environment for teaching and learning and allowing for a more authentic or ‘real’ experience.
Touching, dragging and manipulating text, images and objects results in a more seamless interface between technology and education, as tools become extensions of the physical body.
AVS supports the Dell ST2220T with minimal lagging or smudging and fast, accurate touch response. It also has flexible tilt angles allowing you to position the monitor the way you like it, including the ability to lay it completely flat.
