Video Conferencing and Web Conferencing
Video conferencing

Universities and businesses are embracing virtual meetings to slash travel costs, go green and boost productivity. Video conferencing can meet these demands, and is ideally carried out in venues equipped with dedicated VC systems.
The University of Sydney has over 60 video conferencing sites around NSW. We can also connect to VC equipped rooms in external non-university locations. Conferences can simply involve two sites, or for larger conferences three or more sites can be bridged together.
When you book a video conference, we can set it up for you and provide telephone assistance to ensure that your conference runs smoothly and everyone’s connected.
About Bridgit
You can share your desktop screen during a video conference using the Bridgit collaboration tool. After joining the video conference, all participating sites are required to launch Bridgit on their PC's. The host site then opens a presentation such as PowerPoint, allowing all sites to also view it.
This is an effective way to share screen content and also allows participants to view the live video of the presenter separately to the presentation material.
For instruction on how to use Bridgit please refer to the User Guide where you can also download Bridgid.

Adobe Connect is a desktop collaboration solution that can be used to share data, audio and video. The software is very flexible and is suitable for eLearning as well as web meetings and conferences. Adobe Connect is ideal for screen based presentations such as PowerPoint, whiteboard, chat windows and online meetings where the sharing of screen content and audio are of prime importance.
Adobe Connect can be accessed from a web browser and is suitable for both PCs and Macs located on or off campus. You don't need to install any special software on your computer in order to connect to a conference. Mobile devices with internet access such as smart phones and iPads can also be used to connect to an Adobe conference, however an Adobe Connect app on your mobile device may be required.
