Connect to the UniSydney wireless network using Windows XP
To connect to the UniSydney wireless network:
- Click on the Start menu, then select Control Panel
- Double-click the Network Connections icon
- Right-click on the Wireless Network Connection icon and select View Available Wireless Networks
- Click on UniSydney wireless network and then click on Change advanced settings in the left menu
- Click on the Wireless Networks tab, then select UniSydney in the Preferred networks field
- Click the Properties button
- On the Association tab make sure Network Authentication is WPA2 and Data encryption is AES
- Click on the Authentication tab and select Protected EAP (PEAP) from the EAP type drop-down menu
- Click the Configure button
- Uncheck Automatically use my Windows logon name and password checkbox
- Click OK to close the dialogue boxes.
- If you are prompted about the installation of a security certificate ensure the certificate name is auth.wireless.sydney.edu.au then click OK
- Click on the Wireless Network Connection pop-up alert
- Type your UniKey Login name and UniKey Password and click OK
You should now be connected to the UniSydney wireless network.
