Connect to the UniSydney wireless network using Windows XP

To connect to the UniSydney wireless network:

1. Click on the Start menu, then select Control Panel
2. Double-click the Network Connections icon
3. Right-click on the Wireless Network Connection icon and select View Available Wireless Networks
4. Click on UniSydney wireless network and then click on Change advanced settings in the left menu
5. Click on the Wireless Networks tab, then select UniSydney in the Preferred networks field
6. Click the Properties button
7. On the Association tab make sure Network Authentication is WPA2 and Data encryption is AES
8. Click on the Authentication tab and select Protected EAP (PEAP) from the EAP type drop-down menu
9. Click the Configure button
10. Uncheck Automatically use my Windows logon name and password checkbox
11. Click OK to close the dialogue boxes.
12. If you are prompted about the installation of a security certificate ensure the certificate name is auth.wireless.sydney.edu.au then click OK
13. Click on the Wireless Network Connection pop-up alert
14. Type your UniKey Login name and UniKey Password and click OK

You should now be connected to the UniSydney wireless network.
