What is the service?

ICT provides comprehensive specialist Assistive Technology consultation and support services to assist the University in providing suitable technologies for staff and students with a range of disabilities including vision, learning and mobility impairments.

What is included?

This service includes:

  • Consultation and advice regarding the most appropriate assistive Technology options for various disabilities.
  • Training and technical support for assistive technology hardware and software.
  • Installation and configuration of assistive technology hardware and software.
  • Accessibility advice regarding information technologies and their interaction with assistive technologies.
  • The provisioning of specialist assistive technology labs on a number of campuses. Please check Locations and Access.

What should I expect?

Key Metrics  Target 
Assistive Technology related queries   99% of requests will be responded to within 2 hours.  
  • Specialist support hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday (closed on public holidays)
  • Assistive Technology computer labs are open for business for the hours the building has open access to staff and students.
