If you are wondering about university, the Wingara Mura (years 9-10) and Bunga Barrabugu (years 11-12) Summer Program is the perfect way to try it out over the summer holidays. Held at the University of Sydney, the Wingara Mura - Bunga Barrabugu Summer Program is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are starting year 9, 10, 11 and 12 in 2016.
You will stay on-campus, access the world-class facilities of Australia's oldest university, and have the chance to speak directly with leading academics and industry figures.
The Summer Program is not just about books and studying hard; it's fun, too. You'll experience the opportunities that come with studying in the largest city in Australia and with young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people attending from all over the country, the friendships that you make will last a lifetime.
Finally, the University of Sydney will pay for your travel, accommodation, and all other expenses associated with the program. All you need to apply is a statement of support from your principal or careers adviser, your most recent school report, and permission from your parents or guardians.
