South Asia Network

The University of Sydney South Asia Research Network (USSA), was established as a way of bringing together those of us across different faculties working in different disciplines but with a shared interest in the South Asian region: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.

This network will promote the study of South Asia across the University by providing:

  • a forum for collaborative research activity within the University
  • a forum to host lectures by visiting scholars, South Asian business, political, industry and community leaders
  • an ongoing lecture series
  • postgraduate supervision
  • online activities and resources by way of a specially dedicated web presence.

We welcome expressions of interest from scholars whose work, teaching or research is either directly or indirectly related to the South Asian region, who might wish to be involved in the USSA research network. This will also allow for a greater picture to emerge of South Asia related work that is already being done across the University.
