Scholarships
SUIHAA offers two scholarships which assist current residents.
Graeme de Graaff Scholarship
Graeme de Graaff was the founding Director of International House. The Graeme de Graaff Scholarship is open to all current International House residents enrolled in a course at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is to assist a resident to attend a conference, seminar, workshop in their area of study or on international issues.
Normally two scholarships may be awarded during the course of the academic year and will be available for 12 months from the date the award is made. Each scholarship is valued up to $400 and must cover registration, travel or accommodation.
Recipients must write a report of minimum 500 words for the SUIHAA newsletter about their conference experience and the benefit gained.

Rosalie McCutcheon Scholarship
Mrs Rosalie McCutcheon was the Resident Deputy Director for the critical first five years of International House. In this role Mrs Mac (as she was affectionately known) devoted herself to the well-being of all residents. On her death in February 1992, Mrs Mac’s commitment to International House and its ideals was re-affirmed by the bequest of the bulk of her small estate to the International House Alumni Association (SUIHAA). This bequest subsequently became the Rosalie McCutcheon Scholarship Fund.
Current residents of International House, in financial need for whatever reason, may apply for the Rosalie McCutcheon Scholarship. A maximum amount of $500.00 per year can be awarded, at the discretion of the Sydney University International House Alumni Association.
