Orientation & Enrolment

Arrival Date

All new residents are required to be at the House by the beginning of O-Week. You may arrive before O-Week begins, but you will need to email the office to advise them of your arrival date. If you arrive before the contract begins you will be charged $65 per night for a single room.

For Semester 1, 2014 O-Week begins on Saturday 22 February.

Orientation Week

At International House we strive to create a community of scholars who gain insight by sharing their cultures and ideas. As indicated in your contract, as a new resident you are required to arrive in the House on or before Saturday 22 February 2014. This is to enable you to attend our Orientation Activities.

O-week consists of a wide variety of events designed to welcome you to the House and our community. It provides an excellent forum for you to quickly make friends and learn everything you need to know about living in IH.

Faculty Enrolment

Enrolments are running all through February. There are different enrolment times for international and local students.

Paying your fees to IH

Your contract will state your fee amount and payment schedule. Please refer to the payment section of your contract for details.
As a rough guide:

Twin or single rooms (including meals) need to pay in advance for the entire semester within 5 business (working) days after the commencement of Semester 1. A late payment fee of $50 will be charged by the House.

Apartments or studios (self catered) need to pay monthly.

You can pay via our online portal or a bank cheque made out to International House in Australian Dollars.

Unfortunately we do not have bank account transfer option. International House has one large bank account and you cannot, as a student, deposit money in there.
