Orientation, Social and Cultural Activities
At International House, residents find all the support they need to make their time at university enriching and worthwhile. There's a welcoming mentor program for new residents, academic support through a tutorial program, guest lectures, scholarships and bursaries. This adds up to a significant advantage for students, who get to live in a supportive environment that also supplements their university education.
International House (IH) and International House Members' Association (IHMA) hosts many exciting events throughout the year, such as: formal dinners; musical performances; discos; dancing and singing competitions; sporting events like paintball, soccer, and basketball; trips around Australia; harbour cruises and much more.
Whilst other students are still trying to find their accommodation, International House Residents are settling into their room and enjoying Orientation activities and events. International House has a comprehensive Orientation program with plenty of opportunity to get to know campus, Sydney and the other residents. It is a fun and important beginning to academic life at Sydney.

The Palladian Cup is a multi-event Eisteddfod (a festival of literature, music, and performance) run throughout the year.
The Cup incorporates debating, oration, solo and group vocal performances, individual and group instrumental performances, individual and group drama performances, dance, and art.
All 8 of the University of Sydney's residential colleges compete against each other to win the Cup. Each competition won inches IH one step closer to winning the Cup! This year IH has competed in every event and hopes to continue doing so.
If you're interested in taking part, make yourself known to the Intercol reps when you arrive at IH! Whether you're a seasoned veteran in these fields or just want to try something new, competing is open to you! Don't feel like competing yourself, though? Pull on an IH jumper and cheer them on!
