Internships

IPOS welcomes student interns enrolled in either Masters or PhD programs from around the world. Please contact us at to find out what research opportunities are available.

Your internship should form part of your degree program, so we normally require a letter from your University or supervisor stating this. We are unable to provide stipends or travel support for this program, so please ensure you have arranged financial support prior to contacting us. If these conditions are satisfied, the University will apply to sponsor you for a Research and Training (Subclass 402) visa - Occupational Trainee stream, see the Australian Department of Immigration for details. Most interns come for a three month period, but a stay for up to a year is possible.

This program is extremely popular so please enquire well in advance.
