About the John Grill Centre

The John Grill Centre for Project Leadership at the University of Sydney partners with senior executives and organisations to meet the challenges of leading large-scale projects around the world.

Our vision is to be the world leader in project leadership education, thinking and research in order to inspire, inform and support the successful delivery of large-scale projects.

Our mission statement

The John Grill Centre for Project Leadership will enhance leadership capability and enable organisations to successfully deliver large-scale projects globally through its core objectives of:

  • delivering focused executive education
  • fostering project leadership through relationships with those at the forefront of complex thinking, practice and policy
  • leading and driving collaborative cutting-edge research
  • providing unique insights and best practice through access and leverage within the centre’s local, national and global networks.

Establishment of the centre

The centre was established with a $20 million gift from University of Sydney alumnus John Grill, announced in October 2012. John Grill, the co-founder and outgoing Chief Executive Officer and now Chairman Elect of WorleyParsons, will chair the centre.
