"John Grill has had the foresight to recognise the need for a world-class centre of excellence to meet the demands of the future."
Dr Michael Spence, Vice-Chancellor and Principal
"My vision is to create a world-class centre which will attract senior executives across a broad range of industries who will gain the skills to effectively deliver large projects, bringing benefits to all levels of our society."
John Grill, Chair
The John Grill Centre for Project Leadership at the University of Sydney was established in October 2012 with a landmark donation of $20 million from University of Sydney alumnus John Grill, on his retirement as chief executive of WorleyParsons.
John Grill AO is Chair of the centre and Marc Vogts was appointed in August 2013 to lead the centre as Chief Executive Officer and is supported by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies and the University of Sydney Business School.
While John Grill is Chair of the centre, a board has also been set up to further the centre’s links with industry and government in Australia and internationally. Members include leading business figures Kevin McCann AM, Sir David Higgins, Dr Stuart McGill, John Mulcahy, The Hon Nick Greiner AC, Catherine Livingstone AO and Jim McIlvenny.
With its base at the University of Sydney, the John Grill Centre taps into the great minds of our academic teams and work within the University’s extensive infrastructure.
