Single Unit Enrolment
The Sydney Law School is at the forefront of legal education both in Australia and overseas. Through high quality teaching and research, the Faculty has achieved a national and international reputation for critical and independent scholarship. As a Single Unit Enrolment (SUE) participants you can “audit” any of the 150 or so postgraduate units of study offered each year over 21 areas of specialisation taught by our own experts as well as overseas visitors.
The Single Unit Enrolment program allows you to attend lectures, receive relevant reading materials, and gain access to the unit’s online e-Learning website. You are not required to undertake assignments or examinations.
Courses are offered by one of two methods, either attendance one night per week for 13 weeks between 6.00-8.00pm. Courses offered as intensive units are normally conducted over four or five days between 9.00am-5.00pm.
Under the MCLE/ CPD Rules and Guidelines you may claim one “unit” for each hour of attendance, refreshment breaks not included. Postgraduate units of study cover 26 hours of lectures.
Note: Participants seeking individual units of study as accreditation towards a degree (where formal assessment tasks are required to be completed) should apply as a Non-Degree applicant. Please see the Future students section of this website for further details.
Location
The majority of courses are held at the Sydney Law School Building, (F10), Eastern Avenue, Camperdown Campus , University of Sydney.
A small number of courses are conducted at the St James Campus Building, St James Campus, 173-175 Phillip Street, Sydney, or other central Sydney locations.
Cost
$3,810.00 (GST free). The registration fee includes all tuition and university materials. Full payment is required for registration.
Online registrations are only accepted for those paying via credit card. Visa, Mastercard are accepted.

Time
Semester length courses are normally conducted from 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm. Intensive courses are normally conducted from 9.00 am -5.00 pm (please check individual courses for exact times).
Study in Europe
It is also possible to undertake a small number of courses which are conducted in Clare College and Robinson College - Cambridge University, the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences - Amsterdam, Humboldt Law School - Berlin, and the Institute of Advance Legal Studies - University of London under the Sydney Law School's "Study in Europe" program.
The Fee for European units of study is $4,560 (GST free).
