We place particular emphasis on international and comparative law while also maintaining a strong focus on taxation, commercial, corporate and criminal law. We offer research expertise in specialist areas such as climate and environmental law, as well as health and medical law.

Our Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree is offered as part of our Combined Law program, providing the opportunity to study law in combination with some of the University’s most comprehensive and challenging degrees. Our Juris Doctor builds on our tradition of academic strength in the core areas of law and international law, to give you a competitive advantage in the legal world, both in Australia and overseas.
Sydney Law School offers one of Australia’s largest and most specialised coursework and research programs in law, with 80 percent of units offered on an intensive basis. The coursework program reflects the latest developments within the practice and profession of law.
Domestic practitioners and international visitors teach 60 percent of the program ensuring that our teaching is informed by current practice relevance and leading edge ensuring our graduates will be able to use information effectively in a range of contexts.
Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiative, Professional Plus+, offers busy professionals the chance to sample our program for CPD points or engage with our Law and Business Seminar Series.
