Brief Biographical Detail

Andrew Dickinson is the Professor in Private International Law at Sydney Law School. He divides his time between Australia and the UK, where he is a solicitor advocate, consultant to the law firm Clifford Chance LLP and a visiting fellow at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in London. Andrew is the author of The Rome II Regulation: The Law Applicable to Non-Contractual Obligations published by Oxford University Press, and is one of the specialist editors of Dicey, Morris & Collins: The Conflict of Laws (the leading work on English private international law). He is a member of the UK Ministry of Justice’s advisory committee on private international law, of the editorial board of the Journal of Private International Law and of the Hague Conference’s expert working group on the law applicable to contractual obligations.
