Australian Hate Crime Network

The Australian Hate Crime Network (AHCN) is dedicated to the provision of information and resources on hate crime in Australia and the development of national and local networks to address hate crime. We aim to:

• distribute information, research and data on hate crime across Australia;
• encourage links and collaboration between communities most affected by hate crime;
• contribute to understanding and knowledge about hate crime and how best to tackle it;
• stimulate the development of networks between community groups, government agencies, academics and individuals;
• provide a hub for media, policy-makers, teachers, students and others seeking expertise, advice or resources on hate crime;
• strengthen the capacity of government and community agencies to provide ‘best practice’ responses to hate crime;
• operate as a national forum for news and events in the area of hate crime;
• connect with international research and agencies.
