Constitutional recognition of Indigenous Australians - The Constitutional Reform Unit released an analysis of the recommendations of the Expert Panel on Constitutional Recognition of Indigenous Australians. It received news coverage on 31 January 2012 in The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Canberra Times and The Age. An international version of this analysis was also published on the American 'Jurist Forum'

Political Donation Reform: The Director of the Constitutional Reform Unit, Professor Anne Twomey, gave evidence to a NSW parliamentary committee inquiring into a bill to reform political donations and expenditure laws in New South Wales on 20 January 2012. This evidence was reported by The Sydney Morning Herald.


Constitutional recognition of local government - On 14 October 2011, Associate Professor Anne Twomey and Constitutional Reform Unit Interns Jemimah Roberts and John Kit Lee attended an expert roundtable in Sydney run by the Expert Panel on Constitutional Recognition of Local Government. The Constitutional Reform Unit has also completed a commission to prepare a literature survey and annotated bibliography for the Expert Panel.

Changing the rules of succession to the Crown - Associate Professor Twomey gave a public seminar on 'Changing the Rules of Succession and the Problem of the Realms' at University College London on 27 September 2011.
