Postgraduate Research Law Students Committee

Are you a postgraduate research student at the Law School? In 2011, a group of postgraduate research students formed a Committee to benefit research students like you. The Committee aims to promote your inclusion in the Law School academic community, develop a social and scholarly community for research students, and advocate for change on your behalf. The Committee is funded by the Law School to hold social and research related postgraduate events for the benefit of all research students.

The Committee is formally constituted under the auspices of the Associate Dean (Postgraduate Research). Here are details of the Committee’s Constitution. Postgraduate research students can nominate to be members of the Committee using the nomination form. Members are elected at the Committee’s Annual General Meeting in March.

If you are a postgraduate research student currently enrolled at the Law School you are welcome to attend meetings of the Committee and we encourage you to assist in organising events throughout the year. A major event organised by the Committee is the annual Sydney Law School Postgraduate Conference.

If you are interested in attending Committee meetings, please email the to be added to the mailing list.
