A three-day trip to Hangzhou is included in the fee. This covers transport, accommodation, most meals, a boat trip on West Lake and entry fees to tourist attractions. Transport to Hangzhou is by fast train and local transport. Hangzhou is one of China’s most famous tourist destinations: “In heaven there is paradise, on earth there is Suzhou and Hangzhou”.

ECUPL offers an optional one-day visit to Suzhou at an additional cost of approximately RMB300.

Mandarin and Tai Chi classes are also offered during the Winter School at an additional cost of approximately RMB100 and RMB200 per course, respectively. Please note that these classes will only run if there is sufficient interest from the group.

Please note that ECUPL only accepts payments in cash and only in RMB so please ensure you have sufficient cash to pay for any additional costs associated with your stay. Traveller’s cheques and credit cards are not accepted.
