Sydney is at its best in summer. Beaches almost spring from the city in every direction, outdoor eating and entertainment venues provide more choice than any other Australian city, and the Sydney Festival offers a unique cultural experience. Add in the traditional surfing, shopping, cricket, golf, ferry travel and sailing and you are likely to want to explore Sydney for longer than the period of the conference itself.
