Sydney Law School Postgraduate Conference
Prizes, bursaries and financial assistance
Various prizes will be awarded for the best written papers, including the prestigious University of Sydney Postgraduate Law Conference Prize. The winner of the prize for the best paper presented at the conference will be invited to submit their paper for publication in the Sydney Law Review. Those wishing to be considered for the prize must submit an 8000 word paper (inclusive of footnotes) by Friday 5 October.
Financial assistance for travel, accommodation or fee relief is available upon application for students who demonstrate need.
Financial Assistance and/or Fee Waiver Criteria
We welcome applications for financial assistance, and have adopted the following criteria in order to ensure that we can assist as many students as possible with the available funding. All applications are subject to funds being available. You will be notified of the outcome of your application prior to the conference.

Attach details as required below (maximum of one page).
- You must be presenting a paper and you must have submitted an abstract;
- You must not be in receipt of financial support to attend the conference from any other source;
- You must set out your estimated conference related expenses (travel, accommodation and conference fees only) in an attachment
- You must add a short statement as to your financial circumstances and any other relevant circumstances;
- Funding will be provided only after receipts or invoices are received; and
- Funding caps apply as per the table below -
