Travel and Visa requirements
Egypt does require visas. While some passport holders are able to purchase them at the airport upon arrival, many others (including Australian passport holders) will need to apply for one in advance at the Egyptian Consulate/Embassy of their country of residence. If applying for a visa in advance, it will take at least two weeks for the request to be processed.
We are able to supply you with a conference participation letter to help in this process. This letter should be taken to the Egyptian Embassy or Consulate nearest to you and submitted with your application.
If you need a visa letter, please email at the time of registration to advise us of your needs.
Conference participants are advised to consult the travel advice websites of their home government for up to date advice on travel to Egypt. Links to government travel advice websites for some countries are available here:
Conference participants are advised to seek medical advice well in advance of travel regarding vaccination requirements. You may wish to consult the World Health Organization’s Egypt profile page and the WHO’s advice for travellers.
