Project management

This one-day workshop and follow-on session is designed to review fundamental principles and tools of project management, and to identify improvements that can be made in project practices. A follow-up session will be scheduled to review progress against action items assigned during the workshop, and to address any further areas of concern or interest identified as part of the initial workshop or the implementation of the defined actions. Specific outcomes of the workshop are to ensure participants:

  • Reflect on and map out how projects are currently managed in your department
  • Identify and share challenges and issues encountered in delivering projects
  • Provide an overview of fundamental project management practices and tools
  • Apply the IDEA Loop to map out a framework for future project delivery
  • Allocate actions to appropriate people
