Approaches to Change - balancing task and people
The ability to lead and manage change is a core capability for senior University Leaders. In a highly complex and changing higher education environment and with multiple stakeholders, it is no easy task to win support for, and successfully implement, individual, team and organisational change. This program will assist leaders in fully understanding the challenge of change in a complex and ambiguous environment; in terms of what people are looking for from leaders, what they perceive they get and the gaps and implications.
Participants at the end of the workshop will have a clear understanding of the balance of reason and emotion and the skills required from leaders to affect change whilst minimizing negative impacts on individuals, teams and the organisation.
Target Audience
This one day program is aimed at academic and professional staff who are in senior level leadership positions or about to assume such positions.
As a guideline this would generally include senior academic leaders including Heads of Schools, and senior professional staff at SGS levels.
