Emergency Warden Training

Emergency Wardens are responsible for facilitating a fast and efficient initial response to emergency situations within a defined area of a building. This course will cover the University’s procedures for fire and other plausible emergency situations. In an emergency situation, Emergency Wardens report to and follow the instructions of the Chief Warden, Security Patrol and/or the Emergency Services.

Target Audience

This course is designed for staff and students who have been nominated to act as Emergency Wardens. Emergency Warden Training is often held on-site for building based Emergency Warden Teams. This course is for Emergency Wardens who were not able to attend their most recent building based Emergency Warden training session or have recently been nominated to act in this role. Please consult with your Chief Warden prior to enrolling.
