Archives and Records Management Services
The Archives and Records Management Services (ARMS) manages the University’s record-keeping systems for files and documents (paper and electronic). It performs this function via the Group Secretarial Office, as part of the Office of General Counsel portfolio.
ARMS also manages the University of Sydney Archives, which preserves all records of continuing value to the University, and oversees access to information in compliance with the NSW State Records Act, NSW Government Information (Public Access) Act and the NSW privacy legislation.
ARMS administers the University's Corporate Recordkeeping System, encompassing the University's administrative, staff and student files and provides advice on recordkeeping requirements to all business units of the University.
