Module 12 - Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loans
Honours and higher degree only
By the end of this module you will know how to:
- register for the Document Delivery service
- use Document Delivery to request, from other libraries, material not held at the University of Sydney Library
- use 'ArticleReach' to supply a journal article not held at the Univerity of Sydney Library
The University of Sydney Library has a wonderful collection. We do not, however, have a copy of everything you will need for your research.
Where possible, we will get an electronic copy of material, or borrow it from another library for you.
This is known as the Library's 'Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loans' service.
As a postgraduate student, you are entitled to use this service whenever you need it.
You can request up to 70 books, articles, chapters, conference proceedings, theses, films – just about anything!
And there's even more good news: this service is usually free!
(We will certainly ask you before proceeding if there are any costs.)
Read on to find out how to register.
You can also download and print a pdf guide of how to use the service.
