2.2 Types of references: Book Chapters

Book Chapters:

Sometimes a book chapter has been scanned for eReadings or is searchable as an ebook chapter title. Usually you still need to look up the title of the book to find the content, ie to find a book chapter. Try this one:

Berman, Ronald. "The Great Gatsby and the twenties", The Cambridge Companion to F. Scott Fitzgerald. 1st ed. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2001, 79-94.

The book title is: The Cambridge Companion to F. Scott Fitzgerald.

The book chapter title is: The Great Gatsby and the twenties, and this is located on pages 79 to 94 of the book.

Can you find the chapter title by entering it in CrossSearch?

Well done. However many chapter titles cannot be found on CrossSearch so you need to know that you can look for the title of the book in the catalogue if you have not located the chapter in your CrossSearch. Now look for the book title in the catalogue.

See Finding Additional References for advanced searching techniques for Books.
