The Muscle Research Unit engages in several types of research:

• Structure and function of contractile and cytoskeletal proteins, particularly those involved in human heart failure Current Heart Samples (Excel Spreadsheet)

Nano/biotechnology developments including:

• Building protein microarrays for the diagnosis of inflammation
• Building nanoarray devices to study properties of motor proteins and
• Developing biosensors of aqueous pollution.
