Physical Anthropology and Comparative Anatomy

Research in the Ann Macintosh Forensic Osteology Laboratory and Shellshear Museum investigates the physical/biological and forensic anthropology of humans as well as non-human osteology.

Other projects include taphonomic research at the AFTER Facility in western Sydney and in the Southern Highlands of NSW, commingling studies, assessment of ancestry, amino-acid racemization in tooth enamel, dental anthropology, Australian Aboriginal anthropology and non-human bones in forensic anthropology.

Other areas of interest are the investigation of the Australia historic war dead and the history of Australian forensic anthropology.
